01-ACCOMMODATION AREA: THE CONCEPT
The accommodation area of the galactic suite spaceport is planned on the northern side of Ronde Island where the strong topography of the island is getting flatter until become beautiful beaches with white sand on the northern end. The western side sees the hills go into the sea and the water there, when hit the rocks, creates the foam that are the different buildings appearing. Some of them are on the seashore, others climb the hills. This foam is then petrified into concrete circular structures some of which extend to the ground to stand the whole. These concrete rings are sometimes open like courtyards and sometimes are carrying water or earth planted with vegetation.
The main common areas are divided in two floors. The second accommodates the spa area while in the first floor  there are the entrances, restaurants and conference halls. Below this floor there are the open air courts where to play tennis, paddle…

02-ACCOMMODATION AREA: THE CONSTRUCTION
Sustentation system: Ronde Island has rock layer not very deep into the ground whereas it will be easy to fund any structure decided. A further study on the ground composition will be undertaken in order to decide the final technique for funding. Concerning the villas on the seashore, the depth there is from 2 to 5 meters. Offshore foundations will be required but lighter alternatives to concrete caissons are studied.
Structure system: the buildings are conceived as concrete rings that stand on concrete extensions of their walls into the ground. Concrete walls on the back contain the ground and provide inertia.
Enveloping system: some of the rings are pierced to let the light in and some are covered with concrete slabs that will  carry  both water and earth with vegetation. Façades will be both glassed and deployable to let the air circulate and with heavy walls on the back will provide inertia.
Finishing system: the interiors will be warm and comfortable with glass and wood.
Installations system: the building is conceived to maximize the passive systems for conditioning the air through a sustainable study that takes advantage of ground mass to low the temperatures and the humidity. Therefore a minimum energy will be employed on this purpose.

01-EARTH RECREATIONAL: THE CONCEPT
The recreational area of the galactic suite space-resort is planned in the southern side of Ronde Island with a strong topography that provides the best views over the technical and training area on the other side of the channel. The buildings are understood as  big caves that dig into the ground and let the natural light bath the interior through huge holes on the top of these concrete structures. The complex is then conceived as an agglomeration of these structures each of them is accommodating big room for one of the recreational activities.  The entrance hall and shops are placed on the ground floor by pedestrian path and the road and parking for electrical cars. From there the visitor can access the some rooms on this floor with  conference halls as well as restaurants and cafeterias and lookouts. The upper floor is dedicated to other rooms with the different halls of the museum, the kids space lab, simulator halls, planetarium and 3d cinema.

Structure system: the buildings are conceived as concrete caissons that are caved into the ground to provide inertia.
Enveloping system: the structural walls are also the enveloping system from sides. The top of the walls are not continous but they deploy a set of beams in several directions that let the light in at the same time that provide smaller span structures to build the glassed roof that covers each module.
Finishing system: the interiors will be warm and light to provide homogeneous illumination for the museum and  simulators areas. Restaurants and cafeterias will be finished with glass and steel to accompany the space tourist in his futuristic trip.
Installations system: digging into the ground the building maximizes the passive systems for conditioning the air through a sustainable study that takes advantage of ground mass to low the temperatures and the humidity. Therefore a minimum energy will be employed on this purpose.

Technical and training area of the GS Spaceport design development

01-TECHNICAL AREA: THE CONCEPT

The technical and training area of the galactic suite spaceport is planned on the north end of isle de Caille, in a flat area that the topography is leaving between some volcanic hills of black stone. The buildings are conceived as stretched threads merging with the existing topography to establish levels of activity in different heights considering the different parts of the program: maintenance, arrival, training, administration, headquarters, relaxing-eating.
Closer to the sea line it is placed the technical building for parking and maintenance of the spaceships and jets as well as the entrance building to the complex and the rooms where the space tourist will finally dress up and get on the GSSS that will bring him up to orbit.
On a higher level there is the training area with all the installations for physical training and medical services. Close to it there will be the dining quarters, cafeterias, lectures halls and relaxing areas.
The headquarters for the galactic suite staff will be placed together with the attitude control for the gssr in another building, overseeing all the rest, and with a press area with lookout.

Sustentation system: Isle de Caille is mainly made of volcanic rock whereas it will be easy to fund any structure decided. A further study on the ground composition will be undertaken in order to decide the final technique for funding. Concerning the runway, being no place for the a 2500 meters length runway on the ground it is placed on the sea in between the two islands close to the coastline where the depth is less than 10 meters. Considering offshore foundations, alternative techniques to reinforced concrete caissons will be developed.
Structure system: the four buildings are conceived as long span structures with steel tubular beams and tubular composed steel tubular columns every 60 meters. The section of the building lets the northern natural light in.
Enveloping system: the roof is composed by several layers of steel plates, thermical isolation and finishing of zinc. Jumps in the section are glassed,  the same as the façade facing the runways and the open-air patios between the buildings.
Finishing system: the interiors will be
Installations system: the building is conceived to maximize the passive systems for conditioning the air through a sustainable study that takes advantage of ground mass to low the temperatures and the humidity. Therefore a minimum energy will be employed on this purpose. Strong installations systems will be necessary in the hangars concerning the maintenance of the spaceships and jets.
