The architects was to reconstruct one floor of a classic mansion and to turn it in a modern “vintage” hotel. The “inheritance” comprised a broad marble staircase, moldings, carved doors, painted cellings to be used in the interior. Applying vertical zoning (tissue screens, transparent partitions, curtains) the authors have almost reconsidered and altered the space without showing inner walls. WC and bathroom units in the rooms are located inside glass “capsules” separated from the living zone.
