FROM SPACE HOTEL TO CAPSULE HOTEL
[…] The next stage in “Space Tourism†will certainly see the construction of Space Hotels in the same orbit as the International Space Station, which for a number of years now has been circling above our heads 500 km from the Earth’s surface.
To begin with the launchers for taking tourists to their destination will need to be edesigned. We are considering constructing space-planes composed of two planes coupled together, the first (larger) plane will reach a height of 100 km, the second Orbiter will actually take them to the hotel. The “Galactic Suite†is a Space Hotel composed of a “bunch†of inflatable modules, proper rooms all hooked onto a corridor-joint, positioned centrally, which the spaceships coming from Earth will dock onto.[…]
